About Layarav

Laya — rhythm. Rav — sound. Neither one is music on its own.

Indian musicians have been buying audio interfaces designed for someone else's studio, at a price set by someone else's currency, for as long as there have been audio interfaces. The hardware is good. It was simply never built with this room in mind.

Layarav is a made word: लय (laya, rhythm) andरव (rav, sound). Rhythm and sound. We chose it because it names the thing we care about and it comes from here.

Our products are the Raag Series. A raag is a framework — a set of notes and rules a musician builds a performance inside. It is not a song; it is what makes a song possible. We use it to mean a shared standard: conversion, build quality, warranty and support that every Layarav instrument is held to, whatever it costs.

We compete on hardware. Not on the licences in the box, not on a heritage we did not earn. Every specification we publish is one you can measure. Every unit carries a serial in a register we keep. Every one is covered for three years, and supported by people in your time zone.

The Rhythm of Sound.
