Warranty

Every Layarav product carries a 3-year limited hardware warranty from the date of purchase.

Register your serial

What is covered

  • Defects in materials and workmanship under normal use
  • Failure of controls, connectors, converters or the display in normal operation
  • Free repair, or replacement where repair is not practical
  • Return shipping on approved claims within India

What is not covered

  • Accidental damage, liquid ingress, or damage from misuse or abnormal power
  • Units opened, modified or repaired outside Layarav service
  • Units whose serial number has been removed or tampered with
  • Normal cosmetic wear that does not affect operation
  • Accessories subject to wear, such as cables, beyond their own defect period

How to claim

  1. 1. Find your serial (LR4-{batch}-{sequence}, e.g. LR4-01-0047) on the base of the unit, and your proof of purchase.
  2. 2. Write to support@layarav.com (or use the contact form) with the serial, the proof of purchase, and a description of the fault — what happens, and when it started.
  3. 3. We reply within one business day. If the fault cannot be resolved remotely, you receive an RMA reference and the address to send the unit to.
  4. 4. We repair or replace and ship back to you. Return shipping on approved claims within India is on us.

The terms, in plain language

Warranty period

3 years from the date of original purchase, evidenced by proof of purchase (invoice or order confirmation). Registration links the serial to you and speeds up claims, but an unregistered unit with proof of purchase is still covered.

Who is covered

The original purchaser of a unit bought from Layarav or an authorised reseller. TODO: confirm whether cover transfers with second-hand sale before launch.

Territory

Warranty service is provided within India. TODO: confirm handling for units carried or shipped abroad.

Remedies

At our option: repair, replacement with an equivalent unit, or — where neither is practical — refund of the purchase price. Repaired or replaced units carry the remainder of the original warranty period.

Your statutory rights

This warranty is in addition to, and does not limit, any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law in India. TODO: final statutory-rights wording from counsel.
